Cisco IOS Programming?
Recently I came across a Cisco IOS Programming reference document and in it they talk about things like the kernal architect and hardware-specific design. The intended audience is for Cisco development, test and porting engineers. Anyway really interesting stuffs.
There was an announcement from Cisco earlier saying that they planned to open source some portion of their IOSes, although it may be merely PR talk following Juniper's announcement. But perhaps in the future we may get to hack this stuff.
I am wondering does anyone here actually have the chance to play around with this stuff?
