VCP useful for security specialists?

Do you see the VCP as a valuable certification for security professionals? I'm going to start shifting my focus to security over the next few months, and I was wondering if this would be a worthwhile and complimentary certification for me to pursue.

There are obvious uses for it, but I have absolutely no idea how many people are using virtualization technologies this way or how likely it would be for me to actually find a position where I would make use of it. This cert is quite involved in terms of time and money because of the course requirement. I'd probably have to take time off of work and pay for this myself, and I obviously don't want to do that if it's not likely to pay off.

As JD mentioned, new virtualization technologies are on the horizon, and maybe it would be best to wait until the dust settles before I invest a great deal of time and money in this.

All applications have to be patched, hardened, design decisions can be altered in lieu of security concerns.

But that goes with any app, whether it be virtualization or Email or directory services...

I can see VMWare's VMSafe initiative inspiring a security-related certification that will be very valuable to system security people. I don't think every InfoSec pro will need it, just like the CCSP isn't needed by all security people, but the virtual network techs will certainly must have it.
