Can anyone tell me the difference between forword lookup zone & reverse lookup zone while configuring DNS.

Forward allows you to resolve host names to IP addresses and reverse allows you to do the opposite (reverse) and resolve ip addresses to host names.
Forward lookup is pretty straight-forward (no pun intended), but reverse lookup is a more involved process. Here is more information on it:

Please, what ever you do, always keep reverse lookup zones for your AD environments. It is incredibly useful for troubleshooting.
