Completed MCSE...finally!

Well, after initially starting for the MCDST in August 2006, then thinking "well, maybe I'll do the MCSA as well" and then realising that most companies were asking for MCSE's...I finally passed the 297 on Monday (man, I hate design exams) to finally complete the MCSE.

297: Designing a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory and Network Infrastructure - Mar 17, 2008
294: Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Infrastructure - Dec 13, 2007
293: Planning and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure - Nov 09, 2007
621: Upgrading your MCDST Certification to MCITP Enterprise Support - Sep 03, 2007
620: TS: Configuring Microsoft Windows Vista Client - Aug 31, 2007
291: Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure - May 17, 2007
290: Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment - Jan 16, 2007
270: Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional - Oct 10, 2006
271: Supporting Users and Troubleshooting a Microsoft Windows XP Operating System - Sep 11, 2006
272: Supporting Users and Troubleshooting Desktop Applications on a Microsoft Windows XP Operating System - Aug 15, 2006

Now onto 284 and, possibly, 285. :)

Wow. It looks like you took the scenic route icon_lol.gif

It looks like you picked up some other interesting designations along the way as well, most notably the MCITP: EST.

That's quite an accomplishment. Congratulations icon_thumright.gif

Yes that is honestly impressive...I knocked out 270, 271, 272, 290, and N+ in January - end of February of this year so I guess 5 isn't bad for approx 2 months.

My goal is to have my MCSA by the end of next month, and MCSE by July...we will see I guess..

Good luck and keep up the good work!

Before starting the whole path, I was had been doing 1st/2nd line support for about 6 years.

I kicked myself into action when I got rejected for a proper 3rd line role in my company. I was pretty pissed about it because it was mostly down to personal reasons with my boss than technical ability but, regardless, I started studying the month afterwards (Aug. 2006) and now have been offered a 3rd line support role elsewhere.

Start mid-April...just seeing out my notice at the moment.

    Nice work mate. :)

5 exams in two months is true dedication! I think my head would explode if I were to try that. ;)

All the best with getting the MCSE sorted. :)
