virtual server and internet

have virtual server setup and running. If I create a virtual network and tell it push out dchp. I cannot get out on line. Get I have it set to push the DNS server address of my virtual DNS server, then I go do a forwarder to my real dns server and I cannot get out online, even if I add my dns server address to be pushed out by the vitural dhcp server. Any suggestions
