how CAN I use a GPO to stop saved passwords
Hi
I'm' wondering if there is a GPO setting to prevent a user form saving passwords in "manage network passwords"
the reason I'm asking is it seems with one of our users he is saving his password to a file server there
when this happens he has drives that do not mount on login after a password change.
if you remove the saved password it seems to work fine until he changes his password again
I'm aware of the option not to allow caching of you logon password but I'm' not sure if this will stop a user from saving a password to a file server.
so is there a way with a windows XP client to stop saving of passwords in "manage network passwords"
The issue only effects this one person so I'm' sure it is soemtihng odd he is doing since he's a bit of a trouble maker at times

I've not tried that
what happens is when we check it it has fileserver.domain.com listed as a saved password
I do not believe he is actually technically savvy enough to go in there and add the password and form reading the description this just makes it hard to get to you can still launch them
I wanna be able to stop him from saving them not prevent him from accessing them
even a script I could run to delete cached passwords is an option -

"Preventing Users from Using the Remember password Feature"
This might be closer to what you are looking for. If my second reading of your question is more correct. -
