    Thanks for response,
I tried this but didn't work. I hold # key while reboot and pressed the sequence of 123456789*0# to reset, it says reset intiated press 1 to save config and 2 for erase, I did erase but after that again all the keys get locked and message ethernet cable dissconnected.
    same screen,no further progress!

How long did you wait? Is there an Ethernet cable connected?

If you just unplug the phone, and then plug it back in and leave it alone -- what does it do then?

Hitting the settings key a couple of times doesn't do anything?

    Thanks for reply,
Ethernet cable is connected, it configures the vlan, after that it gets stuck forever at configuring IP message. I did on and off several times, I am wondering why all the keys are locked !! no access to configuration menus on the phone.

Your "stuck at Config IP state" sounds like a firmware issue -- any idea what version your phones are running?

Did you have a DHCP server running and available to the phone when you did the original reset?
