Outlook meeting invitation

I am working with an outside vendor (also using Outlook), and when they send me a meeting invitation it shows up as a regular mail message with meeting details, rather than as a meeting invite (allowing me to accept, etc). This requires me to manually create a meeting to add to my calendar. The vendor apparently does not have this problem with others. Any thoughts?
