Web proxy in the way - using A record name alone

So it seems that at the moment I am forced to use formatting such as below for all of my web services as the proxy server is getting in the way of my requests and modifying it or connection settings in the web browsers is not an option...
https://<A record name>/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
.. as long as I get the cert with the correct name (fortunately the A record is the same name as the NetBIOS name) should I still be ok? I guess I havent seen anyone doing this and just wanted to verify that this wont be a problem.. My plan is to get a SAN cert from digicert to cover both my internal and external domains and was planning on going with the following..
<domain name>
<autodiscover>
<mail server name for OWA>
<netbios name>
Hows it sound? Thanks for looking.

Netbiosname
Netbiosname.domain.com
mail.domain.com/webmail.domain.com/etc.....
autodiscover.domain.com
