Question regarding stp on a 1900 with fiber.

I was reading about stp and trunking on the 1900 series switch and it says you can only trunk through the 100mb/fiber port.. So will that affect stp if you have only one connection to a switch? I only have one 100mb port.
Xinxing is the hairy one.
