Processors and sockets

Hello all I'm taking a free A+ course in New York, I'm having a very hard time remembering certain numbers when it comes to processor speeds and slots, i study on it but it doesnt seem to stay when i take a practice test(s) ....
Any suggestions or helpful hints ?
