I am planning to take the A+ exams and I am currently studying...and studying....and studying. I'm reading A+ in Depth and taking many practice exams too. I am also about to tear apart a spare computer I have and get into the hands on aspect of it.

Will a Cert make you more "desirable" for a position? How attractive is the A+ cert to perspective employers?

Basically, is it all worth it? What are the pluses that you've experienced with having the cert.

It's a stepping stone. Some people won't even let you interview without an A+ cert. I think that A+ coupled with Net+ can get you a helpdesk or pc support job.
