IIS
I was just wondering if anybody uses IIS at there workplace or do they actually use a dedicated web server?

liven Member Posts: 918I have seen both IIS and apache, however the number of apache instances I have seen greatly out number the IIS instances... But then again that is just my experience.encrypt the encryption, never mind my brain hurts.

We use it internally here because Windows integration streamlines things a bit, and we're small organization, so it can on a machine that's also a file-server. I'd strongly consider Apache if it was just a stand-alone machine out on the internet. However, the Core version of 2008 would also be something to consider.

hypnotoad Banned Posts: 915We run about 4 high volume websites from IIS on Dell PowerEdge 2950 w/ Server 2003 and the CPUs are never taxed. We've also never have a security breach through the web server.
