With all these free email account, yahoo, hotmail, etc. how can you send email securely? We know our emails travel in 'clear-text' once it's out of our NIC, so I just want to see if you use something to secure your email.
I see it as a matter of trying to protect the privacy of my personal info rather than securing the info I send

But at one point I did use GPGP, but that was just for the fun of it and nothing serious.Jumping on the IT blogging band wagon -- http://www.jefferyland.com/ -

That's not going to provide confidentiality over the entire route, but it'll prevent people from eavesdropping on your message as it's transmitted to Google (or whoever).
We don't deal with any sensitive information here though, so we have no need for an enterprise solution. Personally, I've just tinkered with things, like undomiel. -

Many popular email clients support PGP plug-in integration, so it's transparent to en/decrypt and sign messages. Of course, the receivers of your emails must also use PGP and have a public certificate as well.
