What do the techs think of software qualifications
Hi all
I just come across this place and I think its great. At the moment I am taking the new ITQ (NVQ) level 3 but then I am thinking of going on to A+. I was just wondering what the guys/girls with the qualifications think about the software side of things and do a lot of techs combine or would you say better to choose one or the other?.

Depends on where you live, and what your prospective employers want. If its all the same and we're talking entry level certs, IMHO, MCDST/MCITP:EST > A+ or N+. However some employers are specific in what they want their employees to have.
They're WAY cheaper, more relevant to your work...more than likely, and they're specific to a technology...which is preferred in my opinion.
If you have the time, might as well get them all.
