What's your intended purpose for the laptop? Watching movies? Video editing? Games? Casual web browsing and email? How much are you looking to spend? Do you have a preference of OS?

A little more info and then we can bombard you with our personal preferences and/or suggestions!

    Hope this helps...

The both have the same chipset so will both be clocked the same, so the only difference is the second one has a smaller HDD.

After that it up to preference of Manufacturer.

As peanutnoggin said, let us know what you want it for and what you want to spend on it and could advise better.

Oh those two, HP is the way to go. Toshiba...yuck! Been there, done that, and burned badly.

The Toshiba is the way to go, because Toshiba is built on a military standered I have used and suggested many Toshiba's and never had problems.

I hate HP I have been through 4 HP laptops in the past 2 years they are not built well at all and there tech support is ****!

The Toshiba may have the smaller Hard Drive but I would rather have a Tank of a computer then good looks and a bigger Hard Drive!!! icon_confused.gif

You looking around $800-$900? (Thats the price I saw the HP one for)

You should be able to pick up something better than the two mentioned for that money.

What is the price between them? Option to select video/sound/display?

I perfer toshiba because HP laptop don't last that long (less than 3 yrs) from my experience.
