How long is an MCSA good for?

In other words -- how long, once you receive the full MCSA, does it last for until you have to renew it?
Also, what are the requirements for renewing/updating it....do we have to retake all 4 or just the 3 core exams again???

Cross Member Posts: 234To tell you the truth. Take the MCSA path for your benefit, if you are really fascinated with the field of computers.
Microsoft will mail you a letter when they state that all the course materials on the exams are going to change. And you basically have a one year deadline to upgrade and obtain the newest form of the certification.
I believe they only test you on one exam which covers everything from all the exams which were taken -

Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminAs for the MCSA 're-certification' and other new MS win2003 exams:
Here's the upcoming MCSA 2003 exam, you'll have to take that one to upgrade from MCSA 2000 to 2003 as well.

And here's one most probably involved in updating MCSE to MCSE 2003: Exam 70-296: Planning, Implementing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Environment for an MCSE Certified on Windows 2000.

At the bottom of this page are the other upcoming 2003 exams:

And here's a list of the MCSE 2003 requirement, unfortunately (at least for me) the 'older' electives from NT 4 (such as proxy 2 and exchange 5.5) are not valid for MCSE 2003:

Sorry to dig up such an old post but I just want to make sure of something. If I get MCSA certified, do I have to requalify every 2 or 3 years? Also, it only takes one exam to requalify right? Thanks! -
Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminYou don't have to. Once your MCSA on Windows 2000 you will stay MCSA on Windows 2000. The upgrade exam allows you to become MCSA on Windows 2003.
