If you are ready to start studying now then go ahead and start on the current exam. I don't think the new exam will be available until this fall (October I think). Here is a link to info on the Sec+ update.

yea im ready for it now, meaning a little bit of brushing up to do.
but the main thing is that which one looks good on the resume, does it matter?
