Linux compatible Soundcard with Optical digital output
Hi folks,
I'm thinking of converting my old media PC to Mythbuntu but had problems before getting it to recognize the Turtle Beach soundcard that was in there. Can anyone recommend a decent/cheap soundcard with optical digital out that works well with Linux?
Cheers.

We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place?

Looks like I'll go with a Turtle Beach Montego DDL, both ALSA and the vendor state it will work with ALSA on Ubuntu (the old one was a cheaper Riviera which only had unnofficial support). We responded to the Year 2000 issue with "Y2K" solutions...isn't this the kind of thinking that got us into trouble in the first place?
