confused about scsi
yiannit
i've read about scsi on different sources including here im confused on the right order of IDs i under stand that on standard scsi it goes from 7 to highest to 0 lowest, then on wide does it go 7-0, then 15-8? so does 0 have higher priority then 15? so on wide SCSI host adapter is set to 7?

Old SCSI equipment allowed SCSI IDs from 0 to 7 only.
Typically, most people set the host adapter to 7 or 15.
As far as I'm concerned there is no order for the use of SCSI ID's.
Restrictions on IDs only apply within a SINGLE chain.
You are correct that 0 > 15.
This is the priority for wide SCSI:
7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 , 0, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8
