So I discovered that we have a 3745 with 256 RAM and 64 Flash that we're not using for anything, I figured I would crank up IPS on it. I'm trying to find the biggest-and-baddest signature file on Cisco, but a lot of pages just link me to 404.
My goals
- Learn a little IPS for real life
- Learn a little IPS for the exam
- Secure my network a little better?
So my question is, should I run/will this router run the 256.sdf file, or am i limited to a 128 or attack-drop.sdf? If so, is 256.sdf part of the advanced enterprise services? I've got c3745-adventerprisek9-mz.124-19b.bin (built June 16). Is this what I want?
If someone could steer me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. Thanks...
Edit: and yes I have a CCO login.
