Don't worry - we have the largest ISP here that does just that to its corporate customers. If you want it open you have to apply for it and fill out a lot of legal mumbo-jumbo icon_rolleyes.gif
Even worse, they have not foisted their mail off to yahoo - all I can say is crap, yahoo has some of the worst spammers around using their systems icon_eek.gif It is so danged bad that if you are a corporate and use any other ISP you can not send to their customers unless you jump through hoops to get on their whitelist icon_twisted.gif

The idea isn't that crazy is it? If you can stop regular users from connecting to SMTP servers apart from their own ISP one then you'll knock out quite a bit of the botnet spam. Obviously this idea requires everybody everywhere to do it which isn't going to happen.

This has been going on for years and is pretty common in the US for operators of large DSL/cable networks.
