Hello...
I've been reading about permission to monitor servers perfomance remotly.
This was what I found...
To monitor performance counters on a remote computer, you must be an administrator on the remote computer. If the remote computer is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003, you must be in the Performance Log Users (PLU) group or in the Performance Monitor Users (PMU) group.
... but it seems to me that both groups are the same.
I also search in AD for descriptions:
PLU: Schedule logging of performance remotly
PMU: Monitors remotly
So... who can explain me when use each?
PMU can only do real-time monitor? PMU cannot schedule logging?
Thanks in advance...
Marie

It looks like the log users also get to manage logs and alerts.
