CNAME name blank...

Hello,
I would create a CNAME for which clients are able to reach an intranet web site simply beating:
For example: I have a domain named (and a zone of course) "mynewplanet.net".
I would that clients must beat just "http://mynewplanet.net" in their browsers to reach the web site.
Is it possible?
If I leave the CNAME name completely blank, it gives to me always an error.
Thank You.

Thank You.
