Hello guys and gals in our enviroment at my job we have a RIS server that is used for all of our imaging needs but we have a few problems. The first one is that everytime we recieve new Dell PC's the hardware configuration might be a little different even though it's the same Dell model. Because of this for some reason we have to create a whole new image for the different hardware and we can't figure out if this is a limitation of RIS or if there is something we're missing?
The other thing is that we're trying to figure out how to slipstream service pack 3, I'm looking on technet but I'm having problems with finding the exact steps. I believe you use xcopy with a few switches at the end is that correct?
