Frame Relay point to point

In a Frame Relay point to point configuration, is there a 1-1 relationship between DLCI's and subnets?
After failing my 1st attempt at the CCNA, i'm going to be a little more active on these forums in the future.

also is it necessary to statically map the dlci's to layer 3 addresses? (can inverse arp be used in FR point-to-point?)in the same scenario.

Um, as far as a CCNA Candidate is concerned, Yes. That subnet may have a /30 (or /31) subnet mask though so that you don't waste IP Addresses.

You can use Inverse ARP to do the layer 2 to layer 3 address mapping -- but you'd have to use the frame-relay interface dlci command to assign the DLCI to the subinterface. All the DLCIs are assigned/associated with the physical interface by default.
