    Could be lots of things:

    Application fault
    Hardware fault
    Memory Leaks
    etc etc

To many to name can you give us some more info??

What does the event logs tell you??

Since it happens every Tuesday just before 7am I have to ask, what happens Tuesday just before 7am? Something must be scheduled... backups, a/v scan, etc.

I was thinking of the classic "cleaning person unplugs server to plug in vacuum cleaner" theory.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. If you conclude you don't have any scheduled tasks/jobs running then go and harrangue the cleaners. I once had a leased line problem in that it went down every other day at 5.40pm for 5 minutes at a time. Needless to say it was eventually tracked down to the cleaner at the remote site icon_lol.gif

Unfortuantly thats all the error message tells us, whats the logs say previous to that?

Is it exactly the same time every week?

Is it in a lab or production environment?

What time do all the users log in?

Is it in a rack? If so do other servers in the rack have the same issue?

How is CPU / Memory usage just before it fails?

Is this just a file server?

Do you want fries with that?

That could mean it was unplugged. Someone yanked the cord.

Or it could be something else. You need to be AT the server next Tuesday morning by 0630 and see what happens.

marks right on this is the only way to be sure why it would continue to shut down unexpectedly.
