Network Security

I am graduating next summer with Bachelors in Network Security, and I hope to get a few certs before that comes. My question is what kind of jobs are out there for a person like myself? What IT Security jobs are good starting points that you don’t need 5 years of IT Security work experience before you get into it? I’m just scared when I graduate that it will be hard finding a job even though I hear that network security is a great field to be a part of. Any thoughts?

My thoughts are that you will probably have to start out in something other than a pure security focused position and move laterally once you have a few years experience under your belt. Most of the people I know who work in security moved into it from being an admin or engineer with some security responsibilities.
