Database Developer or Business Intelligence Developer
savior faire
Good morning all. I'd like to start a discussion about the topic in the subject. The pros and cos of each, type of design, etc.
I just passed my 70-431 yesterday and originally I was planning to put effort and time into the Database Developer track of study and exams.
Now I am not sure if this is the study track I want to pursue, but rather, maybe the Business Intelligence?
Anyone have any experience with BI? My background includes programming, analysis and database goig all the way back to 1973; in numerous industries, programming languages and database management systems.
Any thoughts from the group?
Thanks.

I'd be tempted to follow the BI track these days. Every company seems to be in the market for BI help although I guess it really depends on what your current job is (or if you plan on changing jobs).

Thanks for the reply... I'm leaning BI... appreciate the input.
Where is everyone by the way? This place is dead...

It's usually pretty quiet Friday night through the weekend. For some reason, activity peaks during business hours during the week. Hmm...
