I will be sitting for the Boot Camp course in September, they offer us the opportunity to sit for the exam on the last day of the course do you think this is a good idea? Do many candidates actually pass using such a approach?

When I took the course, about 25% did not take it, then 50% did not pass it. The people who passed it were the ones who just didn't sit on the material after the class each day, but did the homework and exercises the instructor assigned. I also felt that during the course, the instructor knew what to skip and what to focus on for the test, so the extras came later. Just do what the instructor instructs and you should be fine.
