You ever get random text messages?

Well coming from Ft. Lauderdale and since I have had the same phone number for 7+ years I always get some odd text messages. They are usually from old friends going through their phone book and it is good to talk to them again, but then there are others that are just sorta odd.

I got one today from a number I didn't know that was sorta funny. It went like this starting with them. Mine have the > before them

Wat up yo
>Nothing much, studying as usual
Who is this?
>Well since you sent me a message first I figured you knew who I was... Who is this?
Vern
>Yeah... I am pretty sure I don't know any Verns, this is Ken
U must be a ****
>Far from it...
Then send me a pic
>Of what? My nut sack?

Messages like that always make me wonder where these people get my number from.

I got one from some random woman, unfortunately my wife had my phone that day. Luckily for me the woman was nice and they worked out it was a wrong number with my wife. She was a little suspicious, but it could have been a bad night for me.....

yea, i did get something like that too, not a text but a call. I was dating this girl Rachel, and one day i receive a call from "Rachel" with a voice like Rachel, and she was like

Her>Hey how r u
me> good
her> man im freakin tired from the party last night
me> hmm, party?
her>are you stupid

as soon as she said that, i knew something was wrong, so i guess she thought she was talking to her boyfriend, but it was a wrong number she dialled, so i played it off as if i knew her, and we talked for like 5 minutes untill i told her, i think you got the wrong number. she hung up.

we talked for a while, and then i was mad rude to him, so he said next time he sees "dave" he will let him have it. haha

its fun when u get a girl, and u do the same thing.... ok ok, i've moved up and grown up from those days, back to 70-270.lol

I hate those stupid calls! Those are the most annoying calls I get.

waltdee: I'll play along sometimes when someone has the wrong number and someone thinks I am someone else. I think the longest call I have played along with was about 30 minutes until I got bored and told the person I didn't know them. Took another 5-10 convincing them I wasn't that person just screwing with them.

Never got random text messages but random calls. Not recently though. Some automated voice is speaking in spanish and I have no friggin clue!

I keep a log of who has my number and who doesn't.

I should have because I had been receiving phone calls all morning about the tire having been repaired.

We keep getting unsolicited sales calls... What really irks me is they can't even be bothered to hire people to do it anymore and a compueter message kicks in with some speil and asks if interested, the phone a free phone number .... well, I presume it's a free phone number..

I mean the lazyiness of it.. Sales people can't even be bothered to work for it nowadays.
