I failed the 640-801..again. Frustrated and all, I'm set for one more try Aug 16.
Here are the results
Planning and Designing 100%
Implementing and Operation 66%
Troubleshooting 72%
Technology 46%
Can someone point me in the right direction for my studies? Maybe a description of each section?

btw, do you not mean the new 802 ccna exam? or are you a ccna academy student who is still taking the 801?
What materials are you using to study? are you doing labs etc?
As a standard suggestion i would suggest minimum of 2 books, maybe some cbt nuggets, and lots and lots of lab time.Xbox Live: Bring It On

I'm using the CCNA NA companion guides, cisco press books. google and packetracer -

Plazma Member Posts: 503Study your weak areas.. even though it may feel like you're strong in them.. an then brush up on everything else.. Do lots of labs and hands on to reinforce the concepts.. then take it again!

networker050184 Mod Posts: 11,962 ModNo sim is as good as a real lab, but most people seem to find packet tracer good enough for the CCNA. Personally, I would never rely on a sim for study though.An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.

Have you completed ALL of the Packet Tracer activiites in the CCNA 3.1 curriculum? -

While I agree it isn't as good as a real lab it can do everything that you would need for the CCNA (or at least the old one I took).
Before I took mine I had a HUGE freaking lab in Packet Tracer.Give a man fire and he'll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life. -
