IBM Think pads

I am working on two IBM Thinkpads (600E & 770ED) for a friend. I want to do a fresh install and reformat the HDD. But I can't figure out how to get to the BIOS? I want eliminate the recovery discs and have searched IBM's site to no avail. Can anyone help? I did a Dell not long ago and was no trouble. They are old P2's one w/DVDROM & CDROM but no 3.5 floppy drives.

I think for both machines it's F1 to access the BIOS followed by CTRL + A for advanced options.... Although that could be for Easy Set Up, it's been a long time since I worked with Thinkpads

I have a ThinkPad 770. It's only 233Mhz and 160MB of RAM but I LOVE the thing! All you gotta do is replace the battery every 3 years or so and it just keeps going.

Yes, F1 should enter the BIOS.

Thank you very much, F1 is the magic key! I am getting attached to the 600E, She told me $300. Sound reasonable?
