NT Backup FTL!
So I'm trying to restore a single file from a backup tape made using the built in NT backup on 2k3. Long story short, the file will not restore, even though it goes through the motions (albeit slowly). I've tried restoring to an alternate location on a network share, I've tried restoring to the server's local 
drive...no luck.
I'll try a different tape in the morning in case it is the media...but has anyone else run into problems using the built in backup?

When the tape is bad, or the file was corrupt before it was ever backed up.
