EAP-TLS, L2TP...

Helllo techies,

fighting with RRAS stuff...
The question:
- In the VPN connections, the tunneling protocol is ever related to the authentication protocol used?
I read that MS-CHAP and EAP-TLS use MPPE for encrypting authentication process, but I think that it's not used even for encrypting data, while insted for that is used PPTP or L2TP.

Is this right? Hope yes, because I'm bored and tired.

OK, that is not right.
