Port showing Reset
laidbackfreak
ok i had my first interesting problem today... least its not something ive come across before so that makes it interesting to me...
one of our core switches was showing one of its interface's as "reset" consequently the sites haning of it were cut off....
ive not yet had a chance to search\google on it as yet... but was wondering what would cause this??
the resolution to my problem was to swap the card out, ill be checking the log files tomorrow n seeing what went on
but wondered if anyone could give me some pointers as to what to look for??

If its resetting it means that the interface is changing state (down/up). It could be the physical interface, but it could also be cause be loss of signal by the service. Has this been a recent problem or has it just started occuring?
