Question About ISO Image
I recently downloaded Virtual PC and was attempting to install XP Pro onto a virtual drive. However, my XP pro cd is just an upgrade cd, so I went and found the only XP Home cd I had available (which was a Dell "reinstall" disk that came with a Dell PC I purchased years ago) so that I'd be able to actually use the upgrade CD. When I tried to use the Dell XP cd, the Virtual PC software was unable to recognize it for some reason. I guess my question is... Could I just create an ISO image using that Dell disk and use that as a work around? I'm guessing that it wouldn't except that disk because it wasn't an actual store-bought copy, but I could be wrong. Is the ISO image a viable solution, or am I completely going about this the wrong way?
Sometimes you've got to prove to your friends that you're still worth a damn!
