PF usage down a ton

Well since last Thursday when I applied the latest patches to my Windows box that houses Exchange I have noticed a dramatic reduction in PF usage, above and beyond the normal fluctuations after backup, and user activity. Have any of you also noticed anything like this? My usage otherwise has remained about the same but I know I have not applied any specific Exchange updates since sp1 rollup 2 so I am wondering if I missed out on reading about something that may be intertwined with Exchange that would cause this (.net updates, etc..)?? Thoughts??
