Help with Splash screen
Guys,
Have any of you created a splash screen. I have been asked to create a splash screen just before the users log on they will see a screen notifing them of a work event etc. I know you can apply wallpapers with group policy but I they don't want a static screen just something that pops up before they logon. I have seen it done but I'm not a 100% sure how to do it. It maybe an entry to to the logon script but I'm not sure how to execute it. Any Ideas Thanks

Thanks Dynamik. I will try this now and let you know. Ideally though I think they would like a splash screen rather than dialog boxes. I'm sure it can be done by adding a bitmap to the logon script some how. If anyone has any idea that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys -
astorrs Member Posts: 3,139 ■■■■■■□□□□In the past I've used a logon script to open a web page with IE (all menus and everything hidden, sized to something like 640x480) hosted on one of the internal web servers with the current policy/banner.
By using that its easy to link to additional documents within the text (like the Acceptable Use Policy etc - you have one don't you? ). And deploying updates is a snap.
