Dupliate GUID with RIS

Haven't been around much lately due to the new job and trying to get everything ship shape, I would like to think when I leave this job the guy that comes after me will not talk as bad about me as I do the guy I replaces.
Anyhow
I have a Dell optiplex 270. I can not get this thing to image over the network using RIS. I get a duplicate GUID error and it reboots.
I have tried amim.exe and guid.exe from the command line and it says you are not allowed to change the guid according to the system bios.
I have even tried the dell tool that dell techs use to reset the asset tag and GUID/UUID. No go.
Has anyone seen this error, came across a fix for this? I have put the word out with a few colleagues and not one has seen it.
It is very frustrating, Technet shows a fix editing registry keys on the RIS server. i really do not want to go into all that trouble.
Thanks for any input.
I'll even take someone saying "Sorry can't be done!"
