I have never even touched SQL at all until now, our headoffice has now released a
new software built on SQL 2005 and I pulled the short straw.
I have gone through some of the material and find it hard to say the least. I intend to work hard
and keep trying but what i'm asking is, has anyone written the exam with little or no SQL experience and how did they do ??

I got thrown to the wolves with Saleslogix which was on a SQL2000 DB.
I would recommend SQL in 10 minutes and the jump onto www.vtc.com and watch the SQL server videos to get he basics down. After that if you want a cert snag the microsoft books.
good luck!-Daniel -
jbrown414 Member Posts: 230I second the SQL in 10 minutes book. It's good to learn the basics and a good reference in case you forget something. After I finish my MCDBA (SQL Server 2000) I'll be moving on to the SQL Server 2005 cert path. Try some of the resourcse listed in the post.

The test is mostly implementing what you know with SSMS. It was a tough journey to get my head around some of the concepts for a couple of weeks...but it will come.
