They are franchise so each runs it's business in it's own way. A few friends and I were BSing about opening one a few years ago.

Nothing a MCSA should be applying for I think, although I could be wrong.

I dunno, they seem t have a pretty low bar here

    1. Technical: A+, Network+, MCP, and MCSE are desirable. The successful candidate will have one of the aforementioned certification and have also passed our Geek Test. We require thorough A+ knowledge in both hardware and software, as well as a background in networking essentials. The IT Certified Field Technician is the model of technical excellence which will lead the creation of our local reputation for excellence and quality.

I have worked for GOC for a few months:

    PROS
You get a company car that you keep with you all the time, and gas card!
Ultimate flexibility, you start your day from your house
The pay is about average for mid to entry level tech
Every call(job) presents some challenge and maybe some opportunity to learn new thing

    CONS
    Sales! Sales!! Sales!!!
You are required to sell Service Agreements
You are required to generate leads when you don't have a service calls
You are required to build relationships with small businesses in your territory.
Not a lot of professional development

So if you are good in sales, and also a good tech, then you may want to buy a territory yourself. The startup cost is in the neighborhood of 50K. Like Daniel say, GOC is definitely not something an MCSA should be considering, unless you are going to be in it for yourself.
