Network printer drivers question
Hi Guys,
Hope this isnt a stupid question. I was told to do the following: There is a network printer on a floor. I want to be able to update the printer driver not directly on the print server, but on my machine to test it out first. How do i go about doing that. I have now downloaded the driver for the printer on my local drive. Please advise. Thx

Install the driver, point it to the ip address of the printer, do not publish in the directory. That should be all you need to do to test it.Jumping on the IT blogging band wagon -- http://www.jefferyland.com/ -

Add printer > local printer > standard tcp/ip port > IP address > driver install.
Or something to that extent. -
