Linux Virtualization
Everlife
Hi everyone,
I managed to get a hold of an IBM 1U server with about 4GB of RAM, so I've decided to set myself up with a Linux virtual server. I use VMWare Workstation on my Windows PC, but I'd like to get some experience playing with some Linux-based open source virtual software.
I'm planning on setting the server up with OpenSUSE running two virtual machines, one running OpenSUSE and functioning as a mail server, and another running Fedora running vsftpd. I was hoping someone could recommend some open source virtual software and mail server software.
Thanks in advance!

VMware ESXi
if you don't mind it not being open source.
VirtualBox
or
Xen
if you specifically want an open source virtualisation package. All the options are free. Hyper-V is also supposed to be free but I've no experience of that.
Postfix
as your SMTP server.
