is there a way in windows to have a tab not display it's identity when you minimise it ?

I dont know....But what I would do is just open another tab and then minimize. That way the blank tab only shows on the minimized window. Not that I have anything to hide of course....

I'm sure someone here knows of some registry hacks or something.

If you're using firefox, there's a plugin available:

I also seem to remember that there's a Windows utitlity that also does the same thing.

That add-on doesn't (yet) work with FF3.
