HP Event Notifier

Anyone ever setup their own smtp relay server for use with HP Event Notifier?

I can get test mail messages through to the desired recipient ok, but no hp event notifier messages, or do I just have a healthy server? :o

    works like a charm, i balls of steeled it and pulled the redundant power cable out on the live server, alert popped up immediately.

    Yup, we used the HP notifier at a previous employer. It was very handy, especially if you set up iLO as well. Between the two, there was never a problem that couldn't be monitored and fixed remotely, save for hardware issues and OS reinstalls. Say what you will, but HP provides excellent support-tools for their servers.
