Need help with system

System boots into PowerSave Mode...says activate using keyboard or whatever but tried doing that...had usb keyboard and it don't work. tried a ps\2 keyboard doesn't work..anyone know what could be problem...also tried usb and ps\2 mice and nothing..

did you try connecting another monitor to it?
how about switching where the monitor is plugged into i.e. new video cards have 2 spots to plug into. or if you have on board video try that

What OS? Is there a button on the case stuck?

monitor works because I hooked up laptop to it and it displayed on it. As for the OS its XP...system turns on and fan turns on and all. I just noticed that if I try to open cd rom it will not open and as well as any ports. could the motherboard be done? I keep looking to see if a connection on the board came apart.
