Preferences for Server 2008 group policy
I've got a Server 2008 test environment with a Vista Ultimate machine. I had tried applying mapped drives, printers and VPN connections through the new preferences feature, but none seem to be applying to either the computer or the user I have placed in the OU. From what I can gather, resultant set of policy doesn't show set preferences, so is there any other way or telling if they are being applied or not, or any specific Software you have to install for Clients or Servers to get these to work?

I was just coming back to report that I had found this, quick reply! Ta.
Is this also available in a Windows folder within the Server installation (i.e. like shadow copy client or RDP) or is it purely a download? -
mr2nut Member Posts: 269I have got this working now. Even after installing CSE and rebooting the Vista machine, it didn't work. I have to change the computer name and move it into another OU then reapply the settings to get it to work. I have got the shares, printers and mapped drives working fine, it's just the VPN connection I can't seem to get to show in Network connections now lol.
