802.1x Help
Greetings,
I was hoping somebody in here has some experience setting up dot1x authentication on a wired network. I have successfully configured 802.1x in my lab environment but I have another problem. Is there a way to configure 802.1x authentication before logging into Windows? I have set up 802.1x to work using smart card authentication but I have to log into the machine locally, then authenticate through 802.1x, then the domain. I have been searching and can't find any info on this.
Thanks for any assistance.

I would try changing the smart card to Protected EAP (PEAP) and in your Radius Server select the option that authenticate the machine using PEAP. These are the setting that I am using in my lab, but my lab is winxp pro sp3, cisco acs 4.2 (authentication server), cisco 3560 switch, and win 2003 server.
