samba setup

I'm using openSuse 10.3 and a vista client, i've used some online how to to get this far

when I try to map a drive form the vista laptop it see's the samba server in the network and has the shared folders below it in the tree, but when I click on the folder I get a 'Windows cannot access' message'

I used wireshark to locate the problem, when i click on the folder I get a 'Tree connect Andz responce, Error BAD Network name'

What network name is it taking about, the domain is correct on both machines?

ok got passed that problem, the share I was trying to access was in the wrong home directory, now the password isn't working

You can reset a samba password using 'smbpasswd'

So basically

smbpasswd <username>

I'm getting this message after using 'smbpasswd mobile' which is a bit funny considering there is a user account on the system called mobile

New SMB password:
Retype new SMB password:
Failed to find entry for user mobile
Failed to modify password entry for user mobile

just had a look in /etc/samba at the smbusers file and only the root account is in there,

finally did it 'smbpasswd -a' did the trick
